This is a very unique engine and transmission--It is a M45-S, right hand rotation, straight through transmission, reverse, forward and neutral are hydraulically shifted. What is unique it that it was put in a custom built boat in 1953, used for three seasons, found to be too heavy for the boat, taken out in 1956 and stored ever since. I took it all apart, cleaned it, had is hot-tanked and checked for cracks. The crank was polished, new main, rod, and cam bearings installed because original ones had turned dark. New rings. All original specs. New paint and gaskets, and seals. Copper head and intake gaskets. New water pump gears. Runs great. Now and then you have to tap one of the carbs when the float sticks. Electric fuel pump, though I have the original one which needs a diaphram. Weight--about 1250 pounds. contact dennis@realitycheckseminars.com
